We the people of India - that is Bharat - vow not to be swayed away by any terrorist activities in our country. Let there be bomb-blasts, parliament attacked or innocent people slain by the off-shore friends, we will not be perturbed, disturbed or moved. We decide to crowd blood-banks, help with all our might in rescue and restore operations and strive to keep peace in the country after any and every attack. We not only will maintain harmony within the country, but also will not allow our relations with our neighbors to be strained. Even if they feed, pay and protect terrorist organizations and individuals, we will keep our eyes and ears closed to that. We will warn them, issue stern statements and will beg to the Superpowers after every terrorist activity, to see the day-light facts. We will extend our patience till the last of our citizen is alive.
We believe that all problems can be resolved by talking. Therefore we will talk – talk tough, talk smooth, talk persuasive, talk and talk and talk. Even where the listener is deaf and dumb, we will keep talking in the hope that one day he will lip-read us, will understand our concern for our country and will respond. We firmly believe that any killing cannot be countered by counter-killing. Therefore, we will not implement the death penalties awarded to our attackers by our competent courts. Our courts are innocent, but they don’t know what they are doing. Oh Almighty, please forgive them.
There are people in our country who argue that tough act reduces terrorism, if not eliminate it. They often say that a second 9/11 did not happen in US because they acted tough on many fronts. These poor guys do not understand that US may have acted tough and may have protected its citizens. But in the process, they have lost so many friends in the world. What do we do by protecting our people alone? If we have to save, we should save all or save none. If we are forced to make a choice, we should save others first, even at the cost of our citizens. Arrogant US population does not understand this. Oh God, please hammer – sorry, sorry; hammer is a violent word – blossom some wisdom in them.
Today we take an oath to lay our lives for the benefit of all mankind- good and evil, terrorists and their victims – all alike. May God bless us and rest us in pieces – sorry, sorry again! Wrong spelling – rest us in peace! Amen!!!
