In memory of 26th July............

On the anniversary of the dreaded 26th July, which changed the life of Mumbai once for all, I pay homage to-
- all those who made money by constructing houses on marshy lands, thereby degenerating the topography of Mumbai like never before
- all those who obstructed the flow of Mithi and Poisar and the likes, thereby helping water logging
- all those who added so much of dirt and waste to Mithi and Poisar, that the once-upon-a-time rivers became 'naalaas' carrying only sewage
- all those who came from all corners of the country to Mumbai and made Mumbai a virtual slum by their activities and lifestyle
- all those who flouted all attempts by all authorities of banning plastics, polymers and carry-bags to make plastic waste the single largest item obstructing free flow of water from land to sea in Mumbai.
- all those who allowed constructions of multi-storied buildings without bothering either for safety provisions or for civic amenities
- all those who did not think twice even in raising constructions on the gutters, naalaas and all water outlets by restricting their flow, direction and width

OH GOD! PLEASE FORGIVE THEM FOR THEY KNOW NOTHING BETTER! AMEN!!!
